Cowboys Move To 2-0 With Win Over Schreiner

 

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team moved to 2-0 with a 75-54 win over Schreiner on Saturday evening at the Mabee Complex.

The Cowboys held the Mountaineers to 28.1 percent shooting in the game and forced 17 turnovers.

HSU jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game and never trailed. The Mountaineers did not reach double figures until the 8:52 mark of the first half. HSU led 45-27 at halftime.

In the second half, the Cowboys continued to pull away and played their five freshmen the final 6:26 of the game.

Kyle Brennon led the Cowboys with 21 points. Trey Wooldridge added 10 points off the bench. Cameron Davis and Chase Pinter added 10.

The Cowboys are now 2-0 and will travel to Lincoln, Neb. to face No. 8 Nebraska Wesleyan at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17.
